Our founder, boss, and long-time friend Jock Cockroft lost his battle with cancer on 7/27/2021. Jock will always be remembered in our industry and by countless people as hard working and affable with a genuine interest in people. Jock never lacked for conversation especially when talking about his two favorite pass times, spending time with his family or playing golf. Jock’s best asset was his positive outlook on life. His deeply rooted sensibilities, fairness and honesty, remain values still practiced by our company today.

Jock’s vision of the importance of personal attention from warranty purchase to resolving claims is what we do that other larger companies cannot provide. This is what Jock called “The GGC Way” and has been instrumental in establishing Glynn General Companies as a leader in the warranty business since 1984. Accompanying him along his journey for over 35 years was the love of his life Cindy Cockroft. Jock’s two sons, Jeremy and Brian, joined his company over a decade ago and today along with Cindy now oversee the business of Glynn General Companies and “The GGC Way.”
